World Demolition Summit – more speakers announced
By Steve Ducker18 February 2021
Demolition & Recycling International is delighted to announce two more speakers for the World Demolition Summit (WDS), which takes place in Chicago, USA, on 20 and 21 October.
Joining the conference programme for the 13th annual industry gathering will be Patrick Grandchamp, from the European Demolition Association (EDA) Working Group on Hazardous Products, and Mohamed Abd El Salam, product management and business development senior manager at Italian company Topcon-Tierra.

Patrick will present on European silica regulations, while Mohamed will discuss the role of telematics, digital and remote control in a safe demolition environment.
The experienced duo take the number of confirmed speakers to four, following the earlier announcements of project presentations by Joe Brinkmann, managing director of South African contractor Jet Demolition, and his counterpart at Safedem in Scotland, William Sinclair.
As well as his involvement with the EDA and the European Decontamination Institute (EDI), Patrick is business development manager of the European organisation of remediation, surface preparation and decontamination specialist Blastrac. Based in France, he has been part of several consultations on asbestos, nuclear, lead paint and silica dust, and has presented many times at seminars across Europe about silica related issues.

Mohamed was born and raised in Turin, Italy and joined the Topcon-Tierra group as a global senior manager last year. His early career was spent at the CNH Industrial group and was responsible for telematics and machine control projects of Case Construction and New Holland Construction for 13 years.
The WDS is organised by Demolition & Recycling International in co-operation with the US National Demolition Association and the European Demolition Association.
