Video to highlight Covid-19 community efforts

Viewers of the joint IPAF Summit and IAPA awards, on Thursday next week, will be shown a specially produced video highlighting how access-related companies have helped their communities during the Covid-19 pandemic.

The compilation follows a request from event organisers IPAF and Access International for IPAF member companies to send in their videos and pictures showing their contributions to their local communities, employees or charities.

Thanks to a fantastic response, the thought-provoking video will also be available as a longer 20-minute version that can be accessed via the Access International and IPAF websites, after the event. More details will follow during the virtual event on 18 March.

“During these challenging times, caused by the Covid-19 pandemic, many companies have stepped up to help their local community, employees and families, and to raise money for charities,” said the event organisers. “The IPAF Summit and IAPAs is recognising these acts of kindness, through this special industry video to be showcased during the live event.”

The IPAF Summit will be hosted for the first time as a global virtual event, in conjunction with a digital prize-giving ceremony for the International Awards for Powered Access (IAPAs) on 18 March 2021, from 15:00 GMT.

The theme of the condensed digital summit will be sustainability. The event will be hosted by Mark Durden Smith, presenter of English rugby union coverage on national TV in the UK.

Registration for the event is free to all those wishing to join; anyone wishing to become a digital delegate is advised to visit the website at www.iapa-summit.info/booking without delay.
