Visitors have been streaming into the eighth APEX exhibition for aerial work platforms at the RAI Exhibition Centre in Amsterdam, the Netherlands.

The response from exhibitors at the show has been overwhelmingly positive as their customers respond to improving worldwide market conditions.

Richard Puglia, JLG business development and marketing director EAME, said, "Its been a very positive show and our customers have been very enthusiastic. There is optimism in the market and a lot of interest."

The three-day show runs between 24 – 26 June and has broken records for space, as well as boasting dozens of products launches from around 100 exhibitors.

Inside, the exhibition area stretches to 11000 square metres, while the outside area offers 10000 square metres - a substantial increase from the last APEX, held at MECC Maastricht in 2011.

Exhibitors and delegates to APEX still have the chance to raise funds for a deserving Netherlands-based charity.

A 5 km sponsored fun run is to be held at the Amsterdam RAI convention centre on 26 June, and so far participants from companies JLG, CTE Italy, Riwal, Manitou, TH Waites and Dinolift have signed up, as well as from KHL – the publisher of AI magazine.

The run, which will start at the RAI exhibition centre at 7.00 am, is in support of the children’s charity CliniClowns, which provides entertainment for sick and disabled children. Runners are encouraged to obtain sponsorship for the run, either personally or through their employers.

The show organiser, IPI, would like to have a good idea of the number of runners who will take part, so if you are planning to run please send an e-mail to Han Heilig at:
