Skyjack has announced that Charlie Patterson, formerly managing director for Europe, Middle East, Asia and Australia, has been appointed as vice president of international operations. In this new role, Patterson will be responsible for the operation of all Skyjack entities outside of North America. Further, Patterson will now have the following Skyjack business locations reporting to directly him: Australia; Brazil; China; France; Germany; Korea; Sweden and the United Kingdom.

“Charlie has been an integral part of the Skyjack organization for more than 13 years," said Brad Boehler, president, Skyjack. "His general management capabilities and commercial acumen have been instrumental in the success of many of Skyjack’s geographic expansions over recent years. As the company looks to build upon these successes with additional projects on the horizon I see Charlie’s experience as key in ensuring our continued growth.”

Patterson added: “Skyjack has a simple vision - to be the easiest access and material handler manufacturer to do business with. This reputation for simple reliability is one that our traditional markets have taken to their hearts and as we expand geographically those needs are just as, if not more, relevant.”

Skyjack also announced that Eric Liner, formerly regional vice president of Skyjack’s Western region, has been appointed vice president of North American sales. In this new role, Liner will be responsible for the direction, development and growth of the North American sales team. He will have a team of senior sales managers reporting directly to him, including four regional vice presidents and three vice presidents of national accounts.

“Eric has been with Skyjack for 12 years and has held several positions including Territory Sales Manager, and most recently regional vice president," Boehler said. "I look forward to Eric bringing his in-depth sales experience to bear on a national scale, upholding Skyjack’s leadership position in scissor lifts and continuing to build on our momentum with both our boom and telehandler products.”

Eric further noted: “I am excited with this new opportunity and look forward to the challenge of continuing to strengthen Skyjack’s position throughout North America, while maintaining focus on being easy to do business with. As a result of this philosophy, we passed a manufacturing milestone in 2013 having built our 250,000 machine. A quarter of a million units is something to be proud of and we have several additional milestones to announce at the ARA’s Rental Show in Orlando, Florida. Again, I look forward to the new challenges and all the opportunities ahead.”

Finally, Boehler took the opportunity to highlight that Brian Black will remain as the vice president of sales.

“Those that know Brian, and there are not many people who do not, recognize his depth of experience and commitment to customers. I am very happy that Brian will bring that experience to bear and will continue to support sales activities globally,” Boehler said.

All changes are effectively immediately.
