The Danish Skako Group has sold its Falcon Lift division to the company's managing director Finn Schlitterlau and financial director Thyge Mikkelsen for an undisclosed sum. The new company will trade as trading as TCA (Tall Compact Aerial) Lift.

As the same time the Denka trailer lift business is subject to separate negotiations with a group of investors and expected to be concluded shortly.

TCA Lift says it will retain existing employees including in sales, service and technical departments some of who have been with the company since it operated as Falk Schmit.

TCA will be working in the same premises in Odense, Denmark, concentrating on developing and manufacturing Falcon products. TCA will also take on representation of the Italian manufactured Blue Lift tracked platforms currently represented by Skako Lift.

As yet Access International has no information as to why Skako is divesting itself of the aerial platform businesses nor how it will impact on the Skako/Reachmaster operation in the US.

TCA Lift will be representing the Falcon and Blue Lift products at APEX next week, exhibits include the Falcon FS520C, which, with a 52m working height is described as, "the world's tallest compact aerial."
