Sinoboom launches products at 15th anniversary event

Sinoboom has celebrated its 15th anniversary with the launch of new products and the announcement of continued factory expansion.

In recognition of the MEWP manufacturer’s landmark year, the company held a range of events including a MEWP Summit for its domestic and international distributors, in its home city of Changsha, China, with around 1,000 delegates present. 

The themes of the conference covered international and individual market developments and provided insights from distributors into their markets and analysis of the MEWP growth opportunities across the world, as well as product innovation and presentations from Sinoboom’s founders Steven Liu, the company’s chairman, and Susan Xu, CEO.

Visitors were also provided an overview of Sinoboom’s International Intelligent Manufacturing Park, which once completed will cover 1.2 million square metres, representing an investment of RMB 6 billion ($ 854 million), and offer a total production capacity of 77,000 units per year.

During the two-day anniversary event, the company showed delegates Phase Four - its most recently completed production area and broke ground on the next phase.

Approximately 90,000 square meters of production space has been newly added for rough terrain scissors, crawler mounted scissors and other products, bringing the current annual production capacity to 50,000 units.

The new products announced during the event in mid-May included a new electric articulating boom in the Narrow Series, an all-electric slab scissor, with direct electric drive and no hydraulic oil, an electric rough terrain boom lift and a new vertical mast lift.

The Narrow Series AB320ERJN electric boom has a compact design with a 1.19m narrow chassis and 1.99m stowed height. Its total weight is a class-leading 6,760 kg, says the manufacturer, and is designed to be agile for sensitive work areas and transport. The unit has 355° turntable rotation, 180° platform and jib horizontal rotation, and 145° vertical jib articulation.

It also offers an AC drive system with gravity lowering technology and a Discover maintenance free battery. There is electric emergency operation on ground and platform control system.

The oil-free 1932ME All slab scissor has full electric drive, and offers fully open entry gate, electrophoretic coating, maintenance Free AGM Batteries and side forklift pockets. There are also unique bumper guards and automatic pothole protection.

Sinoboom MEWP summit The two-day 15th anniversary celebration included a MEWP Summit, attended by around 1,000 delegates. Euan Youdale, editor of Access International, gave a presentation about the global market at the event.

The electric AB520EJ Plus rough terrain boom’s features include four-wheel drive and two-wheel steer, with an oscillating axle to provide 40% gradeability.

There is a three stage load capacity of 250kg, 340kg and 454kg. The reinforced main boom and secondary boom feature gravity lowering, energy saving technology.

Standard on the model are AGM maintenance free batteries, an AC brushless lift motor and five-inch display screen, designed to make calibration and trouble shooting easy. 

Finally, the new VM120E vertical mast Lift has a saloon style entry gate, double chassis doors that fully open and maintenance free AGM batteries. The model boasts unique bumper guards, and a mast that is almost the same height as the guardrails when stowed. There is also front wheel drive.

Sinoboom - Lian Hup Brothers Singapore rental company Lian Hup Brothers takes ownership of a 46m platform height articulating boom at the event

At the 15th anniversary event, Lian Hup Brothers, the fourth largest rental company in Singapore, became the first owner of Sinoboom’s 46m platform height articulating boom lift - the tallest articulating boom made in China to be sold in Asia, outside of mainland China.

Alan Delon Chua, CEO of Lian Hup Brothers, confirmed that the company will acquire another 46m unit from Sinoboom and that the first unit will be deployed into the field as soon as it is delivered.
