By Murray Pollok10 May 2012
Riwal chief executive officer Norty Turner will be the keynote speaker at the Europlatform conference taking place in Edinburgh, UK, on Thursday 20 September this year.
Europlatform is the annual top-level access rental conference organised jointly by Access International and the International Powered Access Federation (IPAF). The theme this year is 'Success in access rentals'.
Mr Turner joined Riwal at the start of 2012 following a 17 year career with Hertz Equipment Rental Co (HERC), during which he held several management posts, most recently that of vice president for Europe, Middle East and Africa.
His topic at Europlatform will be rental management techniques, focusing on the performance measures that every rental company should know.
Mr Turner will be sharing his experiences in rental, providing delegates with valuable insights into the most effective management techniques.
Other speakers, soon to be confirmed, will cover topics including total cost of ownership; trends in finance; forecasting future demand levels; lessons from the German access market; using social media; successfully exploiting telematics; cage safety systems; and why sustainability issues matter.
The conference will be preceded on Wednesday 19 May by an evening networking reception at the Scotch Whisky Experience, located close to the host hotel, the Radisson Blu in central Edinburgh.
The Scotch Whisky Centre, which holds the largest collection of whiskies in the world, will provide a superb networking location for delegates. The Whisky Centre and the Radisson Blu are close to each other in the heart of Edinburgh's historic centre, next to Edinburgh Castle.
More details, including the conference prices, can be found at www.europlatform.info The ‘early bird' conference rates - including discounts for IPAF members - are available until 15 July.
