Preview: World of Concrete 2022

By Lindsey Anderson30 November 2021

While only seven months will have passed between World of Concrete 2021 and 2022, the upcoming event already has more exhibitors on the books, a bigger footprint and expanded education than its previous edition.

Set for Jan. 18-20 (with education sessions starting on the 17th,) World of Concrete 2022 at the Las Vegas Convention Center will feel and look much different from 2021 – for both new and veteran visitors. For those who weren’t able to attend this year’s event, they’ll finally be able to see and walk the new Las Vegas Convention Center’s $1 billion, 1.4 million-square-foot West Hall. And for those who did make it out to Vegas this year and are planning on 2022’s show, next year’s WoC already has 52% more exhibitors than it did in ’21. Bigger, bolder, better.

From material handling equipment and scaffolding to machines that will lift and move personnel and product, World of Concrete offers attendees an array of new units and tools to boost jobsite productivity and improve bottom lines.

Beyond new kit, there’s also a range of on-site training available for attendees; the Scaffold & Access Industry Association (SAIA) is offering a Competent Person Training (CPT) for Suspended Scaffolding Course on Monday, Jan. 17. (For more information and to register, visit www.saiaonline.org.) The Association will also host its networking reception on January 18 at 5 p.m. at the Convention Center. Interested persons should register by Dec. 17 and can do so on the SAIA’s website, as well.

Attendees for 2022’s event can expect a range of telehandler manufacturers to be at the show. At the time of publication, the following companies were registered to exhibit: Applied Machinery Sales – Merlo (W1250), Bobcat Company (W3177,) Caterpillar (W941,) Magni Telescopic Handlers (W3541) and Xtreme Manufacturing (D200) will display fixed boom and rotating telehandlers, with capacities ranging from 5,000 to more than 70,000 pounds.

Mast climbing, hoist and construction elevator manufacturers will also be out in full, with exhibitors including: Hydro Mobile (C3364,) Fraco (C3327,) Geda USA (C3415) and more.

Visitors should also make a pint to stop by the Scaffold & Access Industry Association’s booth (C3259) to learn more about SAIA training, safety initiatives and what it can do for your business.

Lastly, World of Concrete wouldn’t be complete without stopping by KHL Group’s booth (W1612.) KHL Group is the leading supplier of international construction information in the world – and publisher of Access, Lift & Handlers and Scaffold & Access Magazine. Come by the booth to pick up the latest magazine issues, meet staff and talk about what’s new in the industry.

For more information, ALH and SA magazines will provide full show guides in the January/February 2022 issue.
