Australian truck-mount specialist Nifty-Lift has introduced a new 13m working height insulated EWP (elevating work platform) model, which features a 270deg articulating fly boom.

The Nifty-Lift NL122TF features the company's patented "IICL" 66kv boom insulator and a 33kv chassis insulator. The machine has a 180kg basket capacity with a 90deg basket rotatation - combined with the 270deg fly boom travel the machine is said to be suitable for street lighting, electrical connections and tree-trimming.

The 270deg fly boom articulation allows operators to position the basket back over the telescopic boom- making it easy to avoid obstacles such as power lines, pay-TV wires, tram lines and tree branches, yet still position the basket at the ideal work location. The inclusion of the 66kV boom insulator gives operators protection should there be inadvertent contact with live lines.

Nifty-Lift iwas established in Victoria, Australia in 1991 and designs and a range of vehicle mounted EWPs, and several self-propelled EWPs. The company is able to offer specialised designs for specific industries including an insulated range from low to 132kV high voltge ratings and a range for mining industries. Working heights range from 3m to 26m.
