LGMG is set to increase its articulating boom lift range with the introduction of a pair of 21.58m (70ft 10 in) machines; the AR20JE (AR65JE) and AR20J (AR65J).

The new two models will be presented at major exhibitions throughout 2023 and follow two other electric boom models launched at Bauma in October last year.

The AR20JE (AR65JE in North America) is a high-capacity lithium battery-powered model, featuring 100% maintenance-free, smart battery management system and what the manufacturer describes as a ‘super-long’ battery life, while the AR20J (AR65J) is powered by a diesel engine.

Featuring a 2.44m × 0.9m (8ft x 2ft 11in) triple entry platform and a 260/350kg (573/772 pounds) dual capacity, both models offer secondary guarding protection in the platform.

They are also fitted with a 4-wheel drive system, 4-wheel steering mode, and 4-wheel full-time floating axels, designed to offer optimum off-road capability and 45% gradeability. Featuring three steering modes; four-wheel, crab and front-wheel, the two new models also provide one-touch wheel alignment.

The proportional lift and drive controls deliver improved compound action and more comfortable operation, while the boom descends using gravity, saving energy and reducing consumption.
