Leach Lewis Plant ends distribution agreement with Snorkel
06 March 2012
Leach Lewis Plant Ltd has ended its exclusive UK distribution agreement with Snorkel. Discussions between the two companies took place in the early part of 2012 and, after a consultation period, both parties agreed in mid February to part company.
The termination of the agreement between the two companies officially came into effect on 1 March 2012. The companies had concluded that the "current business model was no longer suitable to support future market developments."
The separation, said to be amicable, marks the end of a 14 month relationship.
From 1 March, Snorkel will assume full responsibility for the ongoing product and technical support on existing Snorkel and Upright machines, while Leach Lewis said it remained fully committed to its current customers and the industrial sector.
Leach Lewis and Snorkel will be contacting their existing customers to discuss the future arrangements for future product and technical support requirements going forward.
