JCB shows new articulated boom at Rental Show
19 October 2021
JCB has used The Rental Show to showcase its new AJ48D articulated boom, the second model the company has officially debuted for the North American market.

The AJ48D features a maximum platform height of 48 feet, 4 inches and maximum platform capacity of 551 pounds. The unit is powered by a 48hp engine. The launch follows JCB’s first articulated introduction back in 2017 when the company used ConExpo to debut the AJ50D, a 50-foot articulating boom with a 500-pound platform capacity.
JCB also had its all-electric telehandler and a scissor lift on its stand, amongst other products. The company told ALH it was actively taking orders for the AJ48D during The Rental Show. For more information, see the November/December issue of Access, Lift & Handlers.
