Harsco expands in Latin America
23 March 2010
Harsco Infrastructure has acquired ESCO, a leading supplier of scaffolding and formwork services in Central America.
ESCO, which is headquartered in Costa Rica, has been trading in the region for more than 50 years.
It has branch operations in Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Panama, Puerto Rico, Trinidad and Tobago and Colombia.
Paul O'Kelly, managing director of Harsco Infrastructure Europe, said, "This is an exciting development for Harsco. It gives us a well established platform for additional expansion throughout the Latin American market, particularly in Brazil, where significant investment in public infrastructure, energy and tourism related construction is anticipated."
