Jaso Group has dropped the longstanding name of its mast climber and hoist division Goian.

Once a stand-alone company before it was acquired by Jaso, Goian will now be known as Jaso Elevation Systems and reflects its goal to expand the construction side of its mast climbing business out of its primary market Spain.

Dick Huitema, area manager for Jaso Group, told AI at Bauma, “The Spanish market has suffered particularly in construction so we are looking to expand more abroad.”

Jaso Elevation Systems’ main area of business is wind turbine maintenance, but the plan is to grow the construction side by asking Jaso Group’s distributors of its tower cranes and industrial overhead travelling crane products to also represent Jaso mast climbers and hoists.

The manufacturer has also updated its entire line with a new tower crane hoist, the JL 25, on show at Bauma and the 2 tonne capacity JE 21 construction hoist capable of reaching a height of 300m. Its best selling JP40 is also on show.
