Canadian mast climber manufacturer Fraco Products has partnered with former Alimak CEO Krister Kempainen to produce construction hoists and industrial lifts in North America.

According to Fraco, Mr Kempainen has worked in the access industry for 25 and years and has great experience in hoists and lifts and the North American market.

Fraco president Armand Rainville said the agreement would allow the company to expand into a market it had long been interested in, and the opportunity to work with Mr Kempainan would provide great inspiration to its employees. “This partnership is a huge step forward for Fraco and is consistent with the strategic plan put forward for the economic recovery.”

Mr Kempainen added, “the presence of Fraco in natural markets for construction elevators and industrial lifts will greatly facilitate the return of Swedish technology in North America. I have been in Quebec for a month and I see, daily, the huge market potential.”

The new equipment will be manufactured at Fraco’s facilities, located south east of Montreal, Canada and will be sold under the Fraco brand name. Mr Rainville added that raw materials and components from North America would be used in the production.
