Powered access hire and training specialist Facelift has opened a new depot in Kirkby, Liverpool, UK, creating 20 new jobs in the area.

The company has also opened a 5,000 square foot indoor work at height training centre at the depot in response to growing demand for good quality health and safety training, it said. Included are courses from the International Powered Access Federation (IPAF) and the Prefabricated Access Suppliers and Manufacturers Association (PASMA).

Gordon Leicester, Managing Director of Facelift said, "The best businesses know that health and safety training isn’t optional, it should be at the core of any strategy. Good training doesn’t just ensure your employees all make it home at the end of the day; it can also improve your company’s productivity and improve the confidence of all staff involved in work at height activity."

Mr Leicester added, “Despite this, last year, the Health and Safety Executive reported seven deaths and 308 serious injuries on construction sites in the North West. Proper training is the single most important thing we can do to prevent needless deaths like these happening.”
