The CTE Bizzocchi platforms have been specially modified to help with Hydro-demolition work in Buenos Aires.

Working in collaboration with local partner, CMS Sudamericana Srl, CTE has been able to furnish the Argentinian Safety and Justice Office with Bizzocchi working platforms to rescue people at height and help in the safe redevelopment of damaged buildings in Buenos Aries.

As well as needing to rescue people from height, The Guardia de Agentinian Auxilars need suitable tools to remove the dangerous parts of damaged buildings while leaving the metal superstructures in place and undamaged.

To carry out the operation a hydro-demolition method is used which can selectively remove damaged concrete with high speed water-jets and which does not damage the superstructure.

The Bizzocchi KJF 320 and KJF 430 machines, which were chosen for the job, were modified by CTE and equipped to carry a high pressure water supply. The KJF 320 has a 32 m working height an outreach over 20 m and load capacity between 120 and 280 kg; the KJF 420 has a 42.5 m working height, outreach over 19.5 m and a load capacity between 120 and 450 kg.

The vehicles were delivered at the beginning of March and are the first machines that CTE has sold in Argentina. Over the next three years, CTE intends to increase its sales in the Latin American, Indian, Chinese and Arabic markets as well as maintaining its current European markets.
