Aichi is launching three new electric scissor lifts in its Global range: the Skytowers SV06DNS, SV06DNL and SV08DNL have platform heights of 5.8m, 6.1m and 7.77m respectively and capacities of 230kg, 360kg and 230kg.

These models are Aichi's fifth global series and are designed for applications such as M&E installation, painting, wallpapering and maintenance.

Aichi said, "In 2009 we launched our global series lines which met market demands and focused on the standardisation of parts and systems. And this time, we have launched new models to strengthen our line up. In addition, we are offering a 2-3-5 year warranty programme."

The Skytowers are are electrically driven by an AC motor and a specially designed inverter which offers long duty cycles at the work site. The brushless AC motor also reduces maintenance time and cost.

There is a proportional steering option, which offers smooth operation and a maximum 90deg steering angle provides a tight turning circle..

Batteries are located in a drawer type battery case for easy inspection, similarly the main components can be accessed easily for repair and inspection on a swing door type tray.

Aichi said that the new models have been developed with some substantial improvements to the previous models drawing on market feedback. Examples are batteries, which can be charged using a common commercial charger; a fold down hand rail, which folds easily inside the deck; non-slip tape on the deck for easy repainting; chrome plated linkage pin for rusting proofing and added protection on the motor cover against damage (on the SV06DNS only).
