Lou-Tec has acquired Quebec, Canada-based, access equipment rental specialist Accès Location +.
With the buyout, rental group Lou-Tec says it has consolidated its position as the leader in the rental sector in Quebec for heavy machinery, tools and specialised equipment.

The addition of Accès Location + will also add versatility to its product offering , said Lou-Tec, to its customer base, mainly contractors working in construction for the industrial, commercial and residential sectors.
Lou-Tec added that its fleet of lifting equipment is one of the largest in Canada, and one of the youngest, with an average age of four years. The company’s network of 28 branches, including the opening of a new site in Drummondville in the next few weeks, allows customers to benefit from rapid delivery.
This regional presence also provides a quick response to urgent requests thanks to a wide range of equipment being available in its branches, added the company, from heavy machinery to specialized and frequently used equipment.
Major competitor
Jean-Marc Dallaire, president and CEO of Lou-Tec, said, “With the support of our financial partners, we are now able to consolidate our position as a Quebec leader in the industry and are taking an important step towards realising our vision to become a major player across the country by 2030.
“The acquisition of Accès Location + allows us to bring together passionate and committed people who want to meet the most demanding requests from our customers, in addition to be proud to share their expertise and know-how.”
Luc Bertrand, president of Accès Location +, added, “We are turning an important page in the history of Accès Location + and it is a privilege to join Lou-Tec, a Quebec company that works with the same rigor and with the same concern that we have to offer a quality service that our customers have come to expect.
“Together, and thanks to common values, we will be stronger to realise the vision of the organisation and to develop our market shares in Quebec and Canada.”
