Record-setting spider launch

Easy Lift is to launch its new RA53 spider lift model in March of this year. Set to be one of the world‘s largest spider lifts, the model isthought to be the only articulated model over 40m on the market, according to the manufacturer.
Thanks to its double telescopic boom and jib, it allows a maximum outreach of 20m up to a working height of 32m, which also corresponds to the up and over clearance height.
The first unit is currenlty in assembly and will be delivered to the customer by the end of March.
To meet the needs of the most demanding customers, the RA53 has been developed to work equally well as a MEWP or as a crane, with a 1,000kg capacity winch. The standard 1.8m x 0.7m basket has a capacity of 300kg and can be quickly disassembled to mount the winch in its place.
As an alternative to the standard-sized basket, an optional extendable basket with a capacity of 450kg is also available.
Along with a standard version model, with diesel engine and electric motor, a hybrid version is available with lithium battery and combustion engine. The 300 Ah lithium battery pack is produced in Italy with an innovative electronic battery balancing system. This allows for 20 times faster balancing, reducing recharge times. The customer can also easily replace individual cells themslves.
Another important strength of the new RA53 is the EASY-HERS (Easy Lift Hydraulic Energy Recovery System), that recovers oil not used during normal operation of the platform to recharge the lithium battery, reducing charging costs and fuel consumption.
The undercarriage can be extended vertically and horizontally with a dynamic self-levelling system, developed to compensate for slopes.
Easy Lift has also developed a diagnostic and monitoring system for its spiders by accessing its on-board electronic control unit through the Easycom system, an electronic control system that operates through digital transmission.
The platforms are equipped with a data transmission device which, through a WIFI connection, transfers the information to a cloud server for remote diagnosis.
