JLG Industries, Inc., announces the newest addition to the LiftPod line of aerial work platforms - the FS60.

JLG Industries, Inc., has added the new personal and portable FS60 to its LiftPod line of aerial work platforms. The FS60 has a smaller base than JLG's other LiftPods and it is ANSI A92.3-2006/CSA B354.1-04 compliant.

The FS60 has casters on the back wheels to improve mobility, and a 30-inch base which allows it to fit through small hallways, doorways and even larger elevators. It combines the portability of a ladder with the stability of an aerial work platform, JLG said.

"We listened to our customers and developed the FS60 in response to their requests for a model that can fit through doorways and under eight foot ceilings," said Randy Marzicola, director - channel development, JLG Industries. "We also added casters to the back wheels, which further improves the mobility and portability of the lift, while increasing efficiency for our customers."

With an enclosed platform, 12-foot working height and 6-foot standing height, the FS60 LiftPod allows workers to move hands-free in a 360-degree range of motion. Like other units in the line, the FS60 consists of three lightweight components, each weighing about 50 pounds, for simple assembly - less than 30 seconds - and disassembly. The LiftPod can be carried and moved by one person. When disassembled, the LiftPod fits in the back of a pick-up truck, van or SUV for portability between work sites.

The LiftPod is powered by an 18-volt drill or an optional power pack for increased flexibility and affordability. It also includes an attachable work tray that holds up to 33 pounds of tools and materials and has a 330-pound rated total capacity. The FS60 LiftPod is designed with an aircraft quality aluminum mast and powder-coated steel base for added strength and durability. It also features an inward opening gate and manual emergency descent and will be priced under $2,000, JLG said.

At Conexpo you can see demonstrations of both the FS60 and the 8ft version of LiftPod the FS80.
