EquipmentShare expands its US network

US-based rental company EquipmentShare is opening a new branch in the City of Grand Junction in Colorado.

The company, which provides construction and access equipment via a nationwide network of around 90 branches, said its new branch will partner with the city’s local community and work with them to “create a pipeline of skilled workers to fill job openings needed now and for the future”. 

Offering rental services to contractors in the area, the new branch will initially create between 20 and 30 jobs in Grand Junction area and function as a a training site for EquipmentShare’s apprenticeship program.

Karen Sightler from the Mesa County Workforce Center, said, “We are very excited about the opportunity to expand our training programs through partnerships with EquipmentShare which includes an apprenticeship program. This is where our residents will get the latest, cutting-edge training on mechanics, telematics and more.”

EquipmentShare held a special event in the city to announce the plans, and to reached out to the community by making charitable donations to the Grand Junction Firefighters Foundation and the Two Rivers Wildfire Coalition.

The event was attended by around 50 local officials and representatives from Mesa Community College and the Grand Junction Chamber of Commerce, as well as other community leaders.

Candace Carnahan, Vice President of the Mesa County Chamber, said, “EquipmentShare understands what it takes to create strong, local relationships– both by creating a work environment for employees as well as investing in their community through efforts like giving back.

“This is an excellent example of how a business puts skin in the game and serves their community.”
