Stephen Harper, Prime Minister of Canada, speaks at the opening of Linamar Corporation’s new technology and training centre.

Skyjack's parent company, Linamar Corp, recently opened the Frank Hasenfratz Centre of Excellence in Manufacturing in Guelph, Canada. At the grand opening, Canada's Prime Minister, Stephen Harper, toured the facility and said a few words to mark the event.

The technology and training centre, named after Linamar's founder, will be home to the engineering and processing of Linamar products and the people behind such development. It will focus on advanced tooling, fixture and gauging analysis and development, feature an advanced automation development group and conduct product testing and R&D.

The centre was backed by C$44 million from the Ontario government with further backing from the federal government coming in at C$55 million.
