ARA Show: Rental-ready
By Lindsey Anderson01 September 2021
Eight months after its originally scheduled date, the ARA Show will finally welcome visitors when it opens its doors Oct. 18-20 at the Las Vegas Convention Center.
This year’s show will be ARA’s 65th annual convention and trade show and nearly 600 exhibitors will be on hand displaying their latest products and technologies.
“The 2021 show will provide the same industry-leading networking opportunities, education and events, all with safety and attendees’ business needs in mind,” ARA said. “Plus, there are several exciting new opportunities and experiences planned for exhibitors and attendees.”
Both the education and trade show venues are offering something new this year, with education sessions set to be held on Oct. 17 at Resorts World — a brand-new Las Vegas property opening this summer.
Select talks include: “Technology Implementation to Improve Your Rental Operation,” “ Digital Marketing and Your Online Presence,” “Protect Your Organization from Cyber Crime - Understanding Recent Trends and Threats” and “Get a Grip on Your Rental Business- Are You Running Your Business or is it Running You?” For specific times and speaker information, visit the ARA Show’s website.
Kicking off the first day of exhibits will be a keynote given by Carey Lohrenz, the first female F-14 Tomcat fighter pilot in the U.S. Navy.
During the session, Lohrenz will share her experiences operating in one of the world’s most challenging environments — an aircraft carrier. She also will talk about the fundamentals that helped her win under pressure, reduce errors and overcome obstacles. Interested participants can sit in on the keynote Oct. 18 at 9:30 a.m.
Safety and health
In regard to Covid-19, the State of Nevada has mandated that everyone, including fully vaccinated individuals, wear a mask in public indoor settings, including resorts and casinos, restaurants, bars, showrooms and meeting spaces. The directive aligns with the latest Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) guidance related to mask requirements.
Masks are also still required on all public transportation and transportation hubs per CDC guidance.
Attendees should check directly with resorts, attractions and other experiences for full details around operations. For health and wellness protocols regarding meetings and conventions, contact show management or the venue or hotel property directly for more information.
