TCA Lift shows 52m Falcon following MBO
TCA (Tall Compact Access) Lift, the Danish management buyout organisation, which bought the Falcon tracked platform business from company Skako is exhibiting the 52m working height Falcon tracked platform and smaller Bluelift tracked platforms.
Skako sells Falcon division and plans exit from access
The Danish Skako Group has sold its Falcon Lift division to the company's managing director Finn Schlitterlau and financial director Thyge Mikkelsen for an undisclosed sum. The new company will trade as trading as TCA (Tall Compact Aerial) Lift.
Sunbelt buys aerial assets of HiReach Pa.
Sunbelt Rentals the US arm of the Ashtead Group has bought the majority of the assets of US aerial platform rental specialist the HiReach based in Pennsylvania.
RSC buys New Jersey aerials rental company
RSC Equipment Rental has agreed to buy New Jersey aerial platform rental company Independent Aerial Equipment (IAE) for an undisclosed sum. The acquisition includes the operations and “certain operating assets”.

Brazilian rental company Mills Estruturas e Serviços de Engenharia has acquired suspended access rental company GP Andaimes Sul Locadora Ltda (GP Sul) for R$ 5.5 million (€2.4 million).
Safway buys Atlantic Hoisting and Scaffolding
US scaffolding and access specialist, Safway Services has bought Atlantic Hoisting & Scaffolding, LLC, a large provider of scaffolding and hoisting solutions in the New York City area. By the acquisition Safway hopes to strengthen its expertise in metropolitan high-rise scaffolding and access solutions.
United Rentals to buy Canada's Venetor Group
United Rentals' Canadian subsidiary is to acquire Venetor Group, a seven-location equipment rental company in Canada, for an undisclosed price.
Mills acquires 25% share of competitor Rohr
Brazilian rental company Mills Estruturas e Serviços de Engenharia S.A. (Mills) is acquiring a 25% share of Rohr Estrutura Tubulares, one of its competitors, for R$90 million (€40 million).

Hertz acquires another studio rentals business
Hertz has acquired 24/7 Studio Equipment, a California equipment rental company that rents aerial platforms, forklifts, generators and lighting towers to the film and television industry. The price was not disclosed.
Hertz buys rental company in Hawaii
Hertz Equipment Rental Corporation (HERC) has acquired one of Hawaii’s biggest rental companies, Western Machinery. Western was founded in 1985 and operates on three Hawaiian islands; Oahu, Hawaii and Maui.
Briggs buys United Rentals Monterrey location
Briggs International has acquired United Rentals’ rental location in Monterrey, Mexico, and will combine it with its Monterrey materials handling operation. Briggs is one of the largest forklift truck rental companies in Mexico and recently acquired Maquinaira Ligera Equinter, a materials handling dealer based in Mexico City.
UpRight to merge into Snorkel brand
At Bauma the owners of UpRight Powered Access will announce that the UpRight name will be merged into the Snorkel brand, creating a single manufacturer of aerial work platforms. In the future, the company will market all products under the Snorkel banner only.

Altec buys US competitor Lift-All
Insulated boom and utility lift manufacturer Altec acquired Lift-All, a Fort Wayne, Indiana-based competitor, on 23 December. Altec, which said the acquisition included Lift-All’s products, manufacturing facilities and other assets, did not disclose the purchase price.
